Subject: Can a believer lose his salvation? |
Bible Note: Sir, I admire you method of coming to your conclusions and agree with your reservations about the first man you met proclaiming his salvation. The light heartedness of those who proclaim OSAS is disturbing; if he is born again God is going to deal with him severely, because he is a son. More than likely he is not, he may believe in vain and not in his heart unto salvation.1Co 15:2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. He centrally sounds lost and has some head knowledge about the Bible. Based on these scriptures I believe if you are truly born again NOT OF CORRUPTABLE SEED, I will never leave you nor forsake you, nothing will separate you from the love of God, ETERNAL LIFE, you are saved by faith not by works least any should boast it is the gift of God NOT OF YOURSELVES! Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. I call these absolute scriptures; crystal clear a true son of God cannot loose his salvation. I will no address your scriptures: Gal 1:6-8 Judisizers came in and preached you must work the law to be saved and this impeded the Galatians in there Spiritual walk, they were not lost. Heb 10:26-31 We all have "sined willfully" and if we were to take this scripture as it seems to say we all would have fallen. If a Jew was to reject the truth of Jesus’ sacrifice there is no other sacrifice to deal with sin's, this Jew would keep on sinning. Paul is talking to the Hebrew church (Jews) and is talking in reference to other sacrifices bulls and goats. If we sin willfully our Father who is a very loving and compassionate father WILL CORRECT US he does have that ability. 2 Pet. 2:20-22 If we are truly born again we are a son, our identity is in Christ, we are not a dog. Walking contrary to Gods will is a very rough road though and your life in many respects would be worse than it was before, but it does not say they are eternally dammed to hell. Matt 13:21 The context of this verse is: And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. FROM THE HATED ACTIONS THAT THESE MEN INFLICT UPON US WE SHALL BE SAVED FROM! Matt 13:21 This person has not received salvation by hearing the word, believing in his heart, and confessing with his moth the Lord Jesus Rom 10:9 and 10. He has believed in vain:1Co 15:2. Rom 11:20-23if one was to be broken off from God I believe since the life sap is severed he would be dead not eternally dammed to hell. 2 Pet 2:15 These people are false prophets lost Judasizers not believers. Jude 21 I have no Idea were you get the idea that someone has lost their salvation from this verse. Heb 3:6 Jesus saves us it is a free gift, I am not saving myself that would be salvation I am earning. It is by faith. 1Tim 4:1 I never said believers could not be deceived or get themselves into bondage, no were does it say these people are dammed to eternity in hell. If we have to earn it to keep it is not a free gift it is a debt and we can boast, after all we earned it. The price was paid; I believe it, that settles it. Love Tim |
