Personal profile for user screen name: Reformer Joe

Joe is my name, and I am a follower of Jesus Christ!

I am a Texan for now, although I am a citizen of Heaven (Philippians 3:20).

Occupationally, I teach Spanish at a local high school. Also, my wife and I are missionary partners with American Missionary Fellowship (www.americanmissionary.org), an agency dedicated to evangelism and discipleship in the traditionally unreached areas within the borders of the United States. These include rural areas, the inner city, immigrant populations, etc. I am also involved in Christian countercult apolgetics.

I am a member of a church which is a part of the Presbyterian Church in America (www.pcanet.org), and adhere to a Reformed/Calvinist theology, which above all honors and unquestionably proclaims the supremacy and sovereignty of God.

My favorite topics of discussion are the history and role of the church (especially taking into account the influence of the world system on her), the absolute sufficiency of Scripture as the rule of faith and practice for the Christian, theology proper, and anything having to do with how that theology should be practically lived out in our lives. Theology is not something to be confined to stodgy, old seminary classrooms, but rather should affect profoundly the way we look at and interact with the world.

I look forward to talking with folks of all theological stripes about God's holy Word!

My email address (save the spam and "forwards" for someone else, please!) is jroberts@americanmissionary.org.
