Bible Note: I am a mother of a brood, all grown thank God! Now it's grandchildren...bunch of little let me tell you. I believe when you give birth, it hurts so much you learn to empathize with all kinds of pain in people...Jesus sure did. He felt everything didn't He? I think it would be better if we learned to love one another, cared for each other, and did that more than anything else. What's your Dad's first name? I belong to a prayer group and we email each other prayer requests every Wed. We NEVER reveal anything, and if you want I can certainly put your Dad on our "hit" list, as well as you. It's really hard, I know..I have a friend who just lost his Dad, in fact the funeral is this morning.. just before he died he became a Christian..we are talking hours here. It was amazing as they are Chinese, and were also Catholic converts. Quite a story. My friend's wife is Japanese and her parents are getting up there too...and they don't know the Lord either. When my "gang" all became Christians, we came from a variety of backgrounds and a friend of mine's mother was convinced he was going to shave his head and sell flowers at the airport..it was hoot! We have all remained in the faith over the years, but as you know life takes you many places. WE are all geographically far apart now, however, we still all pray, just like we did when we became Christians..we used to fast and pray every Wed., meet after work for a Bible Study, pray off our list, - we'd tick off the answers, God said...we believed..we were so innocent back then, and then go eat. The answers we had to prayer were absolutely amazing - however we didn't know anything but to just ask and receive. The elders in our church were very wise also...never "told" us what to do, just gently guided us when we had questions...we should have such wise people today. Have faith, your Dad's not gone yet...perhaps God is keeping him here for a reason...who knows? We shall do what we are commanded to do, and pray for your Dad, and love on another. J |
