1 | One example of loosing salvation NT | Luke 8:13 | New Creature | 88369
Tim The fact that God will never leave or forsake us, in no way indicates that it is God that ever does the forsaking. It is not God that forsakes us, we, however can leave or forsake Him. It is called departing from the faith. (see 1 Tim 4:1) The fact that nothing can separate you from the LOVE of God in no way means that nothing cannot separate you from the LIFE that is in Christ. "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the LOVE OF GOD that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." In quoting this passage, the eternal security adherents argue that it proves that once we are saved we are always saved; and even though "sin" isn't mentioned in Paul's list, it is understood to be included, hence no sin committed after initial salvation will condemn a person! there is a definite DIFFERENCE between the "LOVE" of God as mentioned in Rom. 8:38,39 and the "LIFE" of God, according to Scripture! This is easily proven by noting that UNSAVED people are LOVED by God, even though they are devoid of His LIFE! A clear case in point is the rich, young ruler who was certainly UNSAVED, yet LOVED by Jesus (Mk.10:21)! It must be further noted that this same unsaved man, like all unsaved people, are separated from the LIFE of God," (Eph. 4:18) but, again, not separated from His LOVE! Since one only has salvation when he has the LIFE of God, Rom. 8:38,39 does NOT assure an unconditional salvation on the basis of God's infinite love!" (quoted from an unknown source) New Creature |

2 | WHAT MADE LOT A RIGHTIOUS MAN? | Luke 8:13 | tj57h@cs.com | 88381
#1. How are we saved? By faith. #2 How are we kept saved? By Faith. We do good works and obey God because he has saved us it is a free gift. Righteousness (Right standing with God) is by faith, not works! Romans 4:1 What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found? 2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. 3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. 4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. 6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, 7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. Sir, now if I am a born again son of God and I am, I have the fruits and faith to prove it, and I get drunk, lie to the IRS, have sex with my daughter, commit adultery with my neighbor, and kill her husband and then finally commit suicide. Most religious leaders of the day would say I am lost! The bible says because of my faith I am righteous! Praise God I do not desire to go through the chastisement my Father would put me through for committing these sins, clearly they would not be without consequence. AM I A RIGHIOUS MAN? IF IT IS BY FAITH I AM, IF IT IS BY WORKS I AM NOT! David, Samson, Lot, Abraham, and Moses all did these things and God considered them Righteous (In Right standing with God) Because of their faith in him! Romans 4 and Heb 11! 2Pe 2:7 And delivered JUST LOT, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: So now exactly what sin is it that is going to send a born again Son to eternal condemnation in hell? We all have committed these sins. We do not have to commit them physically all we have to do is think it and we have committed adultery, hate someone and it is murder. IT IS ONLY BY THE GRACE OF GOD MY FRIEND BY FAITH! One last question: WHAT MADE LOT A RIGHTIOUS MAN? With Love I rest securely in Jesus’ salvation, Tim |
