I say no, key word being redeemed. But you need to study thjis and work it out for yourself. I say that if our slavation is dependant upon obedience then we are all doomed. The Christian does not have a liscence to keep on sinning but now its an issue of why does a Christain want to sin. I have heard both sides of this debate and have studied it for a very long time. I am convinced that Gods grace covers eveything, because otherwise Jesus would have to be crucified over and over. Others will say I am wrong I am sure, but its funny how Paul goes to such lengths to examine the issue of salvation by faith and defending it against those who believe that our works of obedience keep us in Gods kingdom. We need to see things from an eternal perspective. Was a person destined to salvation from before the beggining of time? If they were, then what can possibly change this? and if they were not (destined to be saved) then does this not indicate that God is not in control of his creation? Its a big issue and I am sure that people smarter than me will come up with smarter answers but I believe that my understanding came though study, prayer and revelation and I am comfortable with it.
