Bible Question:
melchizedekau, What scripture do you use to support the view that all humans were written into the Lamb's book of life before creation? Where does scripture say we are predestined to be conformed to His image only if we surrender? Why do you say "no matter what happens you will end up at your fate" and also say we choose our destiny? If nothing we say or do matters (as you stated) then why would any choice or decison matter since fate controls our destiny? And most importantly, where did you find the following quote from scripture; "You have been Predestined to live with me for eternity as the Bride of my Son which makes you and my Son one. It is your choice, i have chosen the path for you, although you some times seem afar off. Your decisions for me and your choice to change ,will bring you to my arms. In which i have predestined you to be. SAYS THE LORD"? Sam Hughey |
Bible Answer: Sam: With all due disrespect to the man who thanked you for your response, once again he did not respond to the content of a post at all, except perhaps to affirm that he himself prefers man's gospel over God's gospel. ? ? ? ? ?"Hi sam thanks for your response if you want a scripture try luke 4:18 YIC. you will understand in time." ? ? ? ? ? My condolences to you, Sam. You asked the man *five* questions -- questions which he himself raised in a previous posting. He writes back and doesn't bother to answer even one of your five questions. He then cites a verse, Luke 4:18, in which there is no mention whatsoever of the Lamb's Book of Life, predestination or fate. He then condescends to inform you that "you will understand in time." In time? I thought the purpose of a StudyBibleForum was to clarify, not obscure, the meaning of the scriptures now. But to this man and others of his ilk (who abound on this Forum) apparently an ounce of darkness is worth a ton of light. However, the man is to be commended in that he said in two sentences what it takes others two pages to say. (I'd rather spend my time in Santa's workshop making stars. After the stars are made near the earth, I wonder how many seconds we have to hang them on the heavenly Christmas tree before their heat destroys the earth's surface.) |
