I have finally found a home for learning about the Word of our Lord. It is a Messianic Jewish Fellowship. I have learned that the "New Testament" rests on the TaNaKH.

The Torah is alive and well.

The Jewish history is a journey to the Messiah. And it is rich.

The Hebrew language is awesome, the language of prayer. I've begun attempting to learn the language, there are so many nuances in the specific words chosen for the TaNaKh.

Anyone who has not experienced Jew and Gentile believers worshiping as one in Messiah, one in the Olive Tree, as in the Book of Acts - you just don't know what you're missing! It's an experience that never gets old - been doing it for about a year and a half now.

HaShem has given us the Sabbath/Shabbat as a gift in which to rest, to worship and reflect on Him and to be in unity with the brethren - it is not a hard command to obey, it's a joy! In fact, it's like a "dress rehearsal" for the world to come!
All of God's commandments as found in the Torah are a gift and not hard at all to obey. If we love Him, we will obey Him.

Nothing has changed (except I now know how truely blessed I am to have found SBF and my home assembly of the Lord) - I'm still Torah observant, called to observe Shabbat, the feasts of the Lord, the dietary laws (not Talmudic, only what the Bible says is clean and unclean - and that is way different from the Rabbinic Judaism dietary laws), to distinguish the holy from the common, and to spread the Word of HaShem's sacrificial love at the Cross.
I still attend the little Messianic fellowship I found almost 2 years ago and I just can't get over how wonderful these people are. I am soooo blessed to be a part of this fellowship of the Lord.
The websites I find that have wonderful teachings, if you're interested are:

my own fellowship: http://www.bethtikkun.com/teachings.htm
http://www.torahclass.com/download.html this site is great for OT teachings chapter by chapter

Hope you enjoy your journey!
