you tell me, why was your name written in the Book of life before the foundation of the World? all names were.God wants none to perish. We choose our destiny in many ways. But we are predestined to be conformed to His image, only if we surrender. The parable of the workers in the field, the last worker got paid the same as the ones that worked all day. That is the same when we give our hearts to the Lord at our death . Mans Predestination therory works like this, fate ,what ever happens is fate no matter what you do or say you will end up at your fate .Gods predestination Fact works like this ,Before you were born i saw you in your womb. i know and have walked with you through your whole life .I know all the decisions you have made the Good ones and the bad ones, but all i see when i look at you is my beloved son Jesus. The blood that He shed for your salvation. You have been Predestined to live with me for eternity as the Bride of my Son which makes you and my Son one. It is your choice, i have chosen the path for you, although you some times seem afar off. Your decisions for me and your choice to change ,will bring you to my arms. In which i have predestined you to be. SAYS THE LORD. AMEN! YIC.we are all predestined if we accept Jesus as Lord .only God knows who they really are. | ||||||

Dear Mel, Why is your name in the book of life? It is God's sovereign grace only and His choice only. This is completely unrelated to anything ing us as the recipients. By that I mean it is completely unrelated to anything we have done, nor anything about us at all. Your explanation of predestination doesn't explain any part of predestination at all. Or at least not something that needed inspired writers of scripture to spend time writing about. Your interpretation makes the texts that specifically reveal predestination effectively renders them needless. If they don't teach specific election, they they tell believers about the salvation they already knew about. Run this test by your approach... if your interpretation is right --why do we even have these texts (eg. Eph 1, 1Pet 1, Rom 8 ) of scripture? If they were omitted from the letters it wouldn't change our understanding of salvation if they really mean what you say. Predestined means much more than to live with me for eternity! And besides it is particularly redundant to tell believers things they already knew! Here's the million dollar question -- who is the first cause of the salvation event in your model, God or man? ... really I mean it, answer the question. Now by way of contrast who is the first cause in my model? I'll answer the question it is God! Does anybody really think it less than absurd to have man be the first cause of an event? By definition God is the first cause! that's what makes Him God! If we ever reason for man as the first cause, we have just reasoned for an uncause event (in other words it didn't happen if God isn't the first cause). |
