Bible Note: Greetings Andrew! Please, just call me Tim! It feels way to formal to be addressed by my full name! :-) This may be splitting hairs, but I believe that there is a difference between saying that the Holy Spirit helped you understand what the Bible was saying and saying that the Holy Spirit revealed something to you which isn't in the text. The first statement is Biblically sound, while the second is not! We have the inspired, inerrant Word of God, which is to be our sole source of faith, rule, and practice. Anything beyond it's pages is simply speculation and has no authority. Just out of curiosity, if Mt. 28:19 is very clear, as you agreed, then why did the Holy Spirit have to reveal something else to you?
