Subject: Jesus' name baptism? |
Bible Note: Jesus Christ is the fullness of the God head bodily. Saying the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost is same as saying in the name of Jesus. The Father, Son and Holy Ghost dwell in Jesus bodily. The reason that Jesus says to baptize in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost is because, He had not been resurrected yet. After his resurrection, all power on earth and in heaven was given unto him and now man can only be saved through him. Now after his resurrection, then the Apostles recieved the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit brought things back to their rememberance that Jesus had taught them. The Holy Spirit also gave them a clear understanding about Jesus Christ. Baptism represents the death, burial and resurrection. Did not Jesus go through this? When a person is baptized, they are baptized into Christ. After the resurrection of Jesus, the Apostles then understood what baptism stood for. Andrew Jr. |
