Dear Robert, Is Jesus Christ lie? Why we cannot accepted His word when He said The Father is Greater Than I am. Is His word not worth to believe? Do you believe in Him? Why it is hard to accept His word? Is he lie? Your statement:The subject of the Godhead is an awesome truth which transcends the capability of finite minds. Nevertheless, God in his word has shown us that " For there are three which bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word and the Holy Ghost and these three are one" (1 John 5:7) Are they one on what? eqaulity or plan? they are one in plan. Joh 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: Joh 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. Joh 10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. Joh 10:30 I and my Father are one. They are one in taking care of His flock! Take a look of this verse: Joh 17:22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: Granting that we become "one" of them how many persons now the God has you in what person you will become? a billion persons of God? We have to understand what "one would it be" before come out of a conclusions. Back to my question. Is he lie? When He said that His Father is greater than Him it is true or not? It is true it is true we must accepted it instead of making a kind of conclusions that as you said no human mind can comprehend. Do you believe that Jesus is telling the truth? if you believe accept His word. If not okey come out with your conclusions. The logic is simple, If he is telling the truth believed Him! HE said the Father is Greater than He is believed it He said it not you, not me nobody else it is Jesus said that! He said the father is greater than He is I beleived in Him instead of the other conclusions. God bless, JOhnny |

2 | Trinity (again)? | Acts 2:38 | Robert Nicholson | 29865
Good Morning Johnny: I believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who knew no sin and who did no sin. Thus, it is impossible for him to lie, he is the absolute truth. While on this earth his glory was veiled and he walked in perfect submission and obedience to his father. In his humility he acknowledged divine order. It was in this earthly walk which he the perfect man demonstrated total dependence upon his father in heaven. Paul refers to this order in 1 Cor.11:3 "the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God" This divine order does not denote inferiority between Christ and God or between man and woman. Johnney, the persons of the Godhead are in harmoney and are in essence God. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. As I said in my last post, the finite cannot fathom the infinite. We "now see through a glass darkly, but then face to face" (1 Cor. 13:12) The verses which you have quoted from John 10 give me great joy knowing that I am safe in my Saviour's hand and in my heavenly Father's hand. Peace in our Saviour's name Rober |

3 | Trinity (again)? | Acts 2:38 | jlpangilinan | 29940
Dear Robert, If you said that Jesus does not lie, Are you said they are not equal? You said"Paul refers to this order in 1 Cor.11:3 "the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God" This divine order does not denote inferiority between Christ and God or between man and woman." Who is the Head of Christ? God, as God the Father. Here it is very clearly again they are not equal. I do believed that there is only one God the Father, one God the Son, and the Holy Spirit. If you ask me how many are them? In my counting they are three. It is base on my human counting. But in the counting of God they are one because counting of Him is different in my counting: But they not eqaul. And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. Eph 5:31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. Two become one flesh. Many for him can become "one" If I offended you sometimes, I am sorry for that. God bless, Johnny |

4 | Trinity (again)? | Acts 2:38 | Robert Nicholson | 29947
Johnny You do not offend me. Your reference to Eph.5:31 regarding a man and his wife becoming one flesh. This again is an example of order. The man is the head of the woman, they have distinct spheres and yet they are equal to each other in the Lord. The reference I gave regarding God being the head of Christ again shows order, not inferiority. Dear brother, I am glad that you agree in the 3 persons of the Godhead. Even the mother of the Lord Jesus could say regarding him "my heart doth rejoice in God my Saviour" In John 17 Jesus prays "This is life eternal, that they may know thee the only true God and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent." God bless you brother Robert |

Dear Robert, Nice discussion to you! one more thing In John 17 Jesus prays "This is life eternal, that they may know thee the only true God and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent." Joh 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. Next time please put comman after the word God, it a big difference. I hope you just miss out not intentionally. God bless, Johnny |

6 | Trinity (again)? | Acts 2:38 | Ray | 31804
Hi Johnny and anyone interested in this verse, I believe Scripture when it says that "the one sent is not greater than the one who sent him." However, I believe that the One who sent Jesus Christ has made His name known to them, and will make it known; John 17:26. They both are One. The name and authority that Jesus had came from Him; John 17:2. The use of the comma that you suggest and is indeed used in the King James, can show either the difference in Persons or it can add to the picture of Jesus Christ being "in" God. In between these commas is Jesus Christ and we truly understand that He came forth from God; John 17:8. In verse 3, I can picture the only true (God), and in the commas the Son of God, whom He sent. This is a rather different posting, but I hope it helps someone. Later, Ray |
