Johnny: quote: Jesus Christ never claim that they are equal, do you think you good than Him that will come out with the conclusion that they are equal. Jesus said Father is Greater than Him is Jesus a liar? ------------------------------------------------ The subject of the Godhead is an awesome truth which transcends the capability of finite minds. Nevertheless, God in his word has shown us that " For there are three which bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word and the Holy Ghost and these three are one" (1 John 5:7) At his baptism, as the Lord Jesus was lifted "out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him: And there came a voice from heaven saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased" (Mark 1:10,11) Jesus demonstrated that he is God manifest in the flesh in the fact that he was able to forgive sins. In Mark 2:5 Jesus declared to the man sick of palsy, "Son thy sins be forgiven thee" Immediately the scribes reasoned in their hearts, accusing Jesus of blasphemy and in their derision spoke the truth "Who can forgive sins, but God only" (v.8) Jesus responded with an answer to their reasonings "That ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins" (v10) He then healed the sick man of his palsy. The writer of the Hebrews writes "Who being the brightness (effulgence) of his glory, and the express image image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high" (Heb. 1:3) The Son of God is co-equal and co-eternal, indeed he could say "he that hath seen me hath seen the father" (John 14:9b) Why did Jesus not tell people directly " I am God"? Jesus had nothing to prove, his walk on this earth and his fulfilment of those things written of him in the Law, the Prophets and the Psalms proved beyond a shadow of doubt that he is the "Christ of God" In Philippians 2: 6-9 we read about the Lord Jesus "Who being in the form of God, thought it not a thing to be grasped at to be equal with God" We then read of his lowly stoop into humankind "He made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men..." How then do we understand that the Father is greater than the Son and yet equal? I believe that there is divine Order in the Godhead. Three distinct persons and yet one. a) God is a spirit (John 4:24) b) Jesus Christ is the eternal Son obedient to his father's will. He is God manifest in the flesh. He is the Lamb of God who offered himself without spot unto God as the atoning sacrifice for our sins. c) The Holy Spirit, also known as the comforter is the believer's advocate (Romans 8:26,27) strength, teacher and guide. The Holy Spirit "procedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me (Jesus)" (John 15:26) The Holy Spirit of God "when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and or righteousness and of judgment:" (John 16:8) Peace in his Name Robert |

Dear Robert, Is Jesus Christ lie? Why we cannot accepted His word when He said The Father is Greater Than I am. Is His word not worth to believe? Do you believe in Him? Why it is hard to accept His word? Is he lie? Your statement:The subject of the Godhead is an awesome truth which transcends the capability of finite minds. Nevertheless, God in his word has shown us that " For there are three which bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word and the Holy Ghost and these three are one" (1 John 5:7) Are they one on what? eqaulity or plan? they are one in plan. Joh 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: Joh 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. Joh 10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. Joh 10:30 I and my Father are one. They are one in taking care of His flock! Take a look of this verse: Joh 17:22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: Granting that we become "one" of them how many persons now the God has you in what person you will become? a billion persons of God? We have to understand what "one would it be" before come out of a conclusions. Back to my question. Is he lie? When He said that His Father is greater than Him it is true or not? It is true it is true we must accepted it instead of making a kind of conclusions that as you said no human mind can comprehend. Do you believe that Jesus is telling the truth? if you believe accept His word. If not okey come out with your conclusions. The logic is simple, If he is telling the truth believed Him! HE said the Father is Greater than He is believed it He said it not you, not me nobody else it is Jesus said that! He said the father is greater than He is I beleived in Him instead of the other conclusions. God bless, JOhnny |

3 | Trinity (again)? | Acts 2:38 | Love Fountain | 29813
Dear Johnny, Robert has given you a very good answer, but you still have the same question you have asked others. You said,"HE said the Father is Greater than He is". I agree that Jesus did say the Father is greater than He is. Johnny, would you agree that Jesus came into the existence of flesh to save us from our sins and to be our example of how we should live our lives? Jesus is Gods gift to us, not only to suffer for our sins but also to be an example of how a true child of the Living God is to live his or her life. You are Gods child and so am I, and we are told by Scripture to take the mind of Christ. God came in the flesh to be our example of how we are to live our lives as His children. Jesus, as the Son, is an example of you, Johnny, also a son of God. The only difference is Jesus is God and you are a son, but because your Father loves you so much, He died for you, wrote the Bible for you and has sent the Holy Spirit to comfort and teach you until He returns. There is ONE God, when you are one, it does not mean one of this and one of that, just plain and simple ONE. I hope this helps! Jesus does not lie, but we sometimes need to help each other look at another point of view and ask God in our prayers for wisdom and understanding according to His will. Bless you, Love Fountain |

Love Fountain, I do believe that God loves me that is why I keep His commandments and I believed on it. When Jesus Said that His Father is Greater than He is, I know it is true, and I am going to believed it, not you not concusions but Him. He himself stated it even accepted it. It is the people cannot accept what Jesus has accepted. He stated that His Father is greater than He is, He stated it not as a conclusion but a direct acceptance that His Father is greater than He is, but the people come out with thier own conclusion that they are equal. There is no problem, Jesus accepted it that His Father is Greater than He is, I believed on it it His word not yours not mine. If you are not believeing in the word of Jesus Christ, whose word you are going to believe in? God bless, Johnny |

5 | Trinity (again)? | Acts 2:38 | Love Fountain | 29824
Dear Johnny, Please read what I wrote to you again. Jesus said His Father is greater than He is as a symbol of you and me also being Gods children so we would know that God is greater than all His children. Are you saying Jesus is not God? If He is not God who do you think He is? Are you a Jehovah's Witness? Bless you, Love Fountain |
