1 | Jesus' name baptism? | Acts 2:38 | kalos | 29496
You write: "The name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is JESUS!" Could you give us the book, chapter and verse in the Bible where it says that? "Jesus tells us to baptize 'in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit' (Matt. 28:19), and THERE IS SIMPLY NO REASON TO THINK THAT JESUS WAS HERE CRYPTICALLY REFERRING TO HIMSELF. The fact that next to no one throughout history has understood Jesus to be doing this itself shows that either the Oneness interpretation is wrong, or Jesus is a very poor communicator (and on a point which supposedly affects our salvation!)" (emphasis added). This article by Gregory A. Boyd first appeared in the Spring 1991 issue of the Christian Research Journal. CRI, P.O. Box 7000, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA 92688 (www.equip.org) |

2 | Jesus' name baptism? | Acts 2:38 | RevRobert | 29508
Would you deny that Jesus was God in the flesh? As is made known in John 1:1-14. Or as I Qouted previosly Acts 4:12 Neither is ther salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.I guess I should back up and include verses 10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Isreal, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazereth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand before you whole. 11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. In my statement I am simply stating what the Bible makes obvious. That Jesus is one and the same as God the father and or the Holy Ghost.

RevRobert. Your Statement:"That Jesus is one and the same as God the father and or the Holy Ghost. I dont believe on this, If they are really the same, why Jesus did not know when the God the father will sent Him back?: Mt 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. If they are the same person, is that possible that you dont know the things that you know? How could you explain that? If they are the same person why Jesus accept that Father is greater than Him: Joh 13:16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. God bless, Johnny |
