AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 2:14 ¶ But the natural [unbelieving] man does not accept the things [the teachings and revelations] of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness [absurd and illogical] to him; and he is incapable of understanding them, because they are spiritually discerned and appreciated, [and he is unqualified to judge spiritual matters]. |
Subject: How can anyone be saved? |
Bible Note: Dear Bother John, I will praise the name of the Lord Jesus Christ forever! I will lift up my hands and my voice to my Savior! I will love the Lord my God with all my heart, mind, soul, and strengh! Praise the Lord Jesus! I went to the the web sight that you reffered me to. As I'm sure you know of me already brother John, I have not really read any theology before, so, it was, and is, a new experience for me. In fact I'm sure that you've seen me write before that I am described in this verse:(1 Cor 1:26 For consider your calling, brethren, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble;), and I like this verse too:(1 Cor 3:18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise.) With all of that being said, I still have no other thoughts on the question; you had asked me in a prior post on this thread if I had any. I do, however, have a some thoughts/comments on the doctrine you are introducing me too. Please forgive me here if I have strayed away from the original question. My thoughts/comments are these, keep in mind, I am in no way speaking out against or being judgemental of this doctrine; I do not know enough about it. To me the doctrine is bitter/sweet. Bitter because when I think of my Grandchildren and the loving times we have together in singing songs to the Lord and sharing stories from God's Word, and, the time I spend in continual prayer for them, and others as well, sometimes weeping for them. As I understand this doctrine, that all of this may be just a waste of emotion and time really hurts. Sweet because I know without a doubt that the chosen ones of God will enter His kingdom to be with Him forever. Your brother in Christ, Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |
