AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 2:14 ¶ But the natural [unbelieving] man does not accept the things [the teachings and revelations] of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness [absurd and illogical] to him; and he is incapable of understanding them, because they are spiritually discerned and appreciated, [and he is unqualified to judge spiritual matters]. |
Subject: How can anyone be saved? |
Bible Note: Hi Ray, What's your scriptural support for your belief? I think Paul didn't feel any warm fuzzies while he was on his was to Damascus and the Lord knocked him on his behind! Concerning the psychology of salvation, the Scripture has little or nothing to say about our emotional state at the time we come to believe the Gospel. I find no scriptural support that we have to feel loved by God before we believe. One of God's purposes, however, is that we come to KNOW the love of Christ in all its dimensions once we are saved.
