AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 2:14 ¶ But the natural [unbelieving] man does not accept the things [the teachings and revelations] of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness [absurd and illogical] to him; and he is incapable of understanding them, because they are spiritually discerned and appreciated, [and he is unqualified to judge spiritual matters]. |

Bible Note: Hi Lionstrong, 1 Timothy 1:5, "But the GOAL of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith." Paul says of his encounter on the road to Damascus in 1 Timothy 1:13, "even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent aggressor. And yet I was shown mercy, because I acted ignorantly in unbelief; and the grace of our Lord/ was more than abundant, with the faith and love which are found in Christ Jesus." Paul was put into service because God considered him faithful. And the grace of the Lord was abundant. Similarly, the woman at the well was found faithful to God's word and testified, "He/ told me all the things that I have done." Can you not hear her say within herself, "Yet He loves me." Ephesians 5:1, "Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you, and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God/ as a fragrant aroma." Ephesians 3:5, "which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in [by] the *spirit;...fellow partakers of [His] promise in Christ/Jesus." Philippians 3:12, "Not that I have already obtained it, or have already become perfect, but I press on in order that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ/Jesus. Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on TOWARD THE GOAL for the prize of the upward call of God in (Christ) Jesus." Paul was called to be a minister because of God's love and the power of Jesus. He promised power and what is more powerful than love. That is our goal, that is the kind of spirit that we should be of. Ephesians 3:16, "that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man; so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, BEING ROOTED AND GROUNDED IN LOVE, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ/ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to the fullness of God." We have His Spirit in the inner man and we have the spirit of love within ourselves also. We have **Christ dwelling in our hearts through faith, and we are rooted and grounded in love. Philippians 4:5, "Let your forbearing spirit be known to all men. The **Lord is near." Ezekiel 37 is a good passage to see the spirit and the Spirit within us. From the heart, Ray |
