I was pastor (2001-2005) of a small Baptist congregation in Chicago, IL.

Married, father of nine children.

I believe in preaching deliverance, holiness and sanctification. However, I also know that attaining our own perfection is NOT possible for salvation, but Jesus Christ's righteousness does give us perfection. Many in the neighborhood are bound in drug addiction.

Some of my favorite scriptures dealing with bible study:

John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

2 Timothy 2:15 (New King James Version)
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

2 Timothy 3
16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

1 Peter 3:15
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

1 Corinthians 2:10
But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.

I do not wish to "pastor" others on this forum, but I do learn a lot from studying to answer hard questions. I desire your prayers since the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.
