NASB | 1 Corinthians 2:14 ¶ But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 2:14 ¶ But the natural [unbelieving] man does not accept the things [the teachings and revelations] of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness [absurd and illogical] to him; and he is incapable of understanding them, because they are spiritually discerned and appreciated, [and he is unqualified to judge spiritual matters]. |

Bible Note: Cyclist, I praise God for you my brother! I understand your concern regarding doctrinal differences. And I must confess that at times I should have hit delete instead of send. I take comfort in knowing that sanctification is a process. Perfection will come only upon the day we are finally glorified. In the meantime I groan along with Paul, "I find then the principle that evil is present in me, the one who wants to do good." (Rom 7:21) Some of those who rile me up the worst are those who I love the best. But, thank God, I have never read words of hate spoken here. Thanks for sharing those verses with me. I need them all! God Bless Brother, John |
