AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 2:14 ¶ But the natural [unbelieving] man does not accept the things [the teachings and revelations] of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness [absurd and illogical] to him; and he is incapable of understanding them, because they are spiritually discerned and appreciated, [and he is unqualified to judge spiritual matters]. |
Subject: How can anyone be saved? |
Bible Note: Greetings John! Thanks for the response. I'm really trying to understand your perspective and have thought much about our discussion. Sometimes I just become so overwhelmed and give up trying to reason it all out. You asked,"Do we really want to trust ourselves for salvation rather than Him.?" How do we do this? Are you saying that we draw a picture of what God's salvation is supposed to look like and then add our selves to the drawing? I believe the sovereignty of God is at the heart of everything. He is absolutely in control of all creation. (For this I am eternally, yes forever, grateful!) Yet, I confess, I am not exactly sure how it operates. I can see that you have thought much on this topic. I have not. May the Lord continue to instruct me, as I know so little of the riches of His glory! Blessings, Mommapbs |
