AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 2:14 ¶ But the natural [unbelieving] man does not accept the things [the teachings and revelations] of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness [absurd and illogical] to him; and he is incapable of understanding them, because they are spiritually discerned and appreciated, [and he is unqualified to judge spiritual matters]. |
Subject: How can anyone be saved? |
Bible Note: Dear Brother John, Praise be to God our Father, who created the heavens and the earth and the seas and all that there is therein, all things seen and unseen, created not by hands, but by God! Yes, praise be to our heavenly Father! As I told you my brother, I have been following this thread the best that I can. I must say that it is getting long! Some scripture came to mind as I consider the subject and the discussion. Keep in mind that I am not as mature in the faith and in the knowledge of the Word as others on this forum, whom I consider to be my elders in Christ, you included, so, I found it necessary to go directly to God's Word. Now taking into consideration that I consider these to be elders, I found myself tempted to side with this one or that one. Here are the scriptures that have helped me: 1 Cor 1:9 God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 Cor 1:10 Now I exhort you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment. 1 Cor 1:11 For I have been informed concerning you, my brethren, by Chloe's people, that there are quarrels among you. 1 Cor 1:12 Now I mean this, that each one of you is saying, "I am of Paul," and "I of Apollos," and "I of Cephas," and "I of Christ."1 Cor 1:13 Has Christ been divided? Paul was not crucified for you, was he? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul? 1 Cor 4:20 For the kingdom of God does not consist in words but in power. John 15:10 "If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love. John 15:11 "These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. John 15:12 "This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. John 15:13 "Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. John 15:14 "You are My friends if you do what I command you. I love each one in Christ that are regulars, my elders, on this forum and have really grown by reading postings by all of you. Thank you! Your brother in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior, Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His prasie shall continually be in my mouth! |
