Hmmm, Emmaus, I wonder: The TULIP, is it predestined to become the state flower of Florida, do you suppose? An auxiliary question: Do Floridians understand the mystery of election any better than we non-Calvinists -- and even some stalwarts of Calvinism -- do? Just curious. :-) EdB is a citizen of Florida. Perhaps he can help us out on this! --Hank | ||||||

Hank The mystery of election is truly a mystery in south Florida. Maybe not! Maybe it is stupidity? In Florida the candidates for Governor do not have to pick running mates until after the primary. Therefore Janet Reno was listed as Janet Reno with undecided under her name in the place that would normally be for the running mate. Many people didn't pick her because they read that to mean they were undecided. They then complained there was no spot to vote for Janet Reno. Now is that stupid or what? Truthfully I did not see the Democratic ticket. However on the touch screen that I used if there were two choices you were given two boxes. The one you touched registered the vote. Then before you could finalize anything you were given a list of who you voted for. To make a mistake you would have to try. At least our chad didn’t get hung up! EdB |
