Subject: Did Jesus suffer in hell when he died? |
Bible Note: Graceful Let me just inject something here. When we compare how Jesus prayed to how we should pray, presupposes we like Jesus know God's will. Simple illustration: The car we use to go to work breaks down. Most everyone would pray for a new car, that is our solution to the problem. However the problem really is we need a way to work. God’s will might be for us to ride with a non believer to testify to them on the way to work each day. God’s will might also be that we move close enough to work so we don’t need a car and we can give the saved money to missions. God’s will might be we walk to work since God knows we have a blood clot that will only dissolved through exercise. God’s will might be that we get a car to take us to work. Four possible solutions to our problem yet most of us who claim we know God'’ will would pray for a car. When in fact that solution was only one of four I could think of. When we pray we need to pay the problem not our solution and we need to pray God’s will be done not ours. We might be missing real blessings by praying our will and not God’s. EdB |
