Bible Note: Graceful There is more than one source that connects Kenyon with the metaphysics. Understand it was not his major it was something he was dabbling in. Some of his work uses quotes from men known for their metaphysical philosophy. Most any search on the web using Kenyon will produce sites that can/will valid the claim he was heavily influenced by the metaphysical philosophy. Look at the nature of his own writings they are steeped in metaphysical philosophy. The idea something does not exist until you confess it with your mouth is at the heart of the Kenyon’s teaching and metaphysical teaching. I have studied his works extensively, it was required for some courses I took. To me he turned God into a his own personal butler. His teaching left God at his beck and call and completely trampled the sovereignty of God. Statements like “God must” are absurd. God is God He does what He desires and no man can say what God must do. EdB |
