Bible Note: Pastor Glenn Understand Word of Faith that we are talking about here is birthed in the Metaphysical philosophy. That is to say things do or do not exist depending on whether we speak them into existence or not. Let me give you an extreme but very common example, suppose your driving down the road and your car start to act erratic. The car pulls definitely to the right as if a tire is flat. That is considered a false manifestation of Satan trying to steal your victory. Your tire isn’t really flat unless you confess it by saying, “oh my tire must be flat.” If on the other hand you say in faith, “my tire is perfect” Then God HAS to honor your faith and make the tire perfect. If this fails the Word of Faith has and answer, one of two things are wrong, first your faith might not be strong enough to overcome the false manifestation from Satan or secondly you have un-confessed sin in your life that is hindering you from receiving God highest and best. Notice two big problems here first the metaphysical aspect, nothing exists until we speak it into existence. And the complete overpowering of God’s sovereignty. The idea that “God has to” is a big problem. EdB |
