Subject: Did Jesus suffer in hell when he died? |
Bible Note: Pastor Glenn You need to look up the meaning of the word heresy. It basically means anything that disagrees with what is considered orthodox/established. What you suggest to be heresy is the rejection of God as God. God calls that just plain foolishness Ps 14:1. As to your reference of Mark 9:38-41 WOF is not teaching about the Jesus of Christianity. They teach a different God, Jesus, gospel and use proof texts to do it. Their god lost ownership of the earth at the fall. Yet the word clearly says he owns the earth and all that is in it. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills, God does what He wants. The teach Job was a loser not the “righteous man” God called him. They claim Job brought his troubles on himself yet scripture plainly shows Satan in attempt to make God look bad brought Jobs troubles. The teach Jesus was tormented in Hell by Satan and then wrestled with him to get the keys of death hell and the grave. Yet scripture show Satan is not in Hell, does not lay a hand on God or His Son, and never had the keys of death hell and the grave. Their Christ was a worm hanging on the cross (their words not mine), while scripture shows Him to be the perfect sacrifice that died for the world. Their god had to sneak Jesus on to this earth by allowing Him to be born of a woman, yet scripture shows He laid down the glory of Heaven and stepped through the womb of virgin to bring light into this world. Even the angels proclaimed the birth of the Messiah. Their god has to honor their prayers even it that prayer would harm someone, harm the prayerer or alter the course God has charted for the world. Their god is limited or hindered by what we say, while the God of Scripture is sovereign and supreme. No they might use the words God, Jesus, and Scripture they teach completely different. EdB |
