1 | Did Jesus suffer in hell when he died? | Luke 23:46 | Pastor Glenn | 65359
EdB, You said, "...the reason I fight WOF is I consider this false teaching to be the most harmful challenge to true Christianity of any lie placed on this earth... ...Everything circles around me in society God is at my beck and call. Humanity is the center of the universe, God has to respond to man. " This is part of the sin condition as men walk in the flesh, rather than in the spirit. False WOF teaching is just one small vulnerability of church goers, for some it is lust for sex, or lust for money, or pride. There is nothing new about these things: 1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--is not of the Father but is of the world. Doers--Not Hearers Only James 1:21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. 22But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. 26If anyone among you[2] thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one's religion is useless. 27Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. 2 | Did Jesus suffer in hell when he died? | Luke 23:46 | EdB | 65411
Pastor Glenn It is the most destructive because it is based on truth and then mutated to fit the logic of humanity. Most other sins can creep up on and we can find them in control of our life before we even realize their power. WOF is so deceptive that it will destroy you and you will still be wondering where God went. WOF is 99.9 percent truth and .1 percent lie and that is where the problem comes in. It is so hard to separate the lie from the truth. WOF teachers are probably the most skilled at handling the scriptures as any human alive. However they handle it in way to make with they are saying true rather than taking what it says as turth. Look at your self, I would guess your not Word of Faith yet you defend it. Why? Because it sound so good, it uses all the right words Faith, God, Jesus, covenant and etc. Now step back and see what their really saying. Their God was thrown of the earth on the fall and had to trick Satan to get his Son back on earth. Is that the God of the Bible? Not! They are worshipping a different god. Look at their Jesus. Their words not mine. He was despicable worm hanging on the cross. Is that Jesus of the Bible? No the Bible calls Jesus the perfect sacrifice, the unblemished Lamb of God. Does this sound like two completely different Jesus to you? It does to me therefore they are worshipping another Jesus. Look at the New Covenant they say it promises us health without sickness, wealth without work, perfect lives without problems. Yet we look at the disciples and we see sickness, poverty, and horrible deaths yet we know each disciple was very much part of the New Covenant. Does it seem like I’m talking two different covenants? It should, You see the WoF developed their own and they try to make God honor it. We see the WoF worships a different God, worships a different Jesus and holds to different covenant yet many defend them as being authentic Christians. That is why WOF is so treacherous.
