1 | "ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED"!!! | Matt 22:37 | John Reformed | 64510
You stated: "Actually, I believe that nobody is "with God" yet, save Jesus". And the proof texts you provided were (Luke 22:69, Acts 2:33, Acts 5:31, Acts 7:55, Acts 7:56, Rom 8:34, Col 3:1, Heb 10:12, Heb 12:2, 1 Pet 3:22). These verses speak to the fact that Christ is in Heaven and seated on the throne at the right hand of the Father. One must read into the text that "that nobody is "with God" yet". You are bold in critisizing others for what you do continualy, that is, imposing your own doctrine upon the Word of God. 2 Cor 5:6-8 Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord. How do you explain your intepretation of the verses you cited? John |

2 | "ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED"!!! | Matt 22:37 | FTimA | 64545
I have no doctrine to impose. I have tried at all times to support my position with God's word. This is the only doctrine we have. The verses I cited were to support the fact that Jesus is with God. Elijah and Enoch are two individuals who never experienced physical death, but Jesus says in John 3:13, "And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven" so even they are not in heaven, yet. What was your purpose for citing 2 Cor. 5:6-8? |

3 | "ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED"!!! | Matt 22:37 | John Reformed | 64548
My purpose for citing 2 Cor. 5:6-8 was to show that the souls of deceased Christians go to be with Christ upon the moment of death and not to Abraham's Bosom. Our bodys will not ascend into heaven until the ressurection of the godly dead. John |

4 | "ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED"!!! | Matt 22:37 | FTimA | 64713
Our bodies or our souls? God tells Adam that our bodies will return to dust. Gen 3:19 By the sweat of your face You will eat bread, Till you return to the ground, Because from it you were taken; For you are dust, And to dust you shall return." |

5 | "ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED"!!! | Matt 22:37 | John Reformed | 64718
You said: "Our bodies or our souls? God tells Adam that our bodies will return to dust." My answer is our bodies. I believe in a dichotomy of man's being: Body and soul. But that is a subject for a seperate discussion. We have already strayed far from the topic we are supposed to be discussing. John |
