Subject: "ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED"!!! |
Bible Note: Art, are you saying salvation is like a light switch -- on-off, saved-lost, on again-off again, saved again-lost again? How many times does one have to be saved in order to be saved? How many times must he be born again in order to be born again? Is our salvation so very iffy that we must be careful to keep at least one repentence ahead of our sins? ....... Without attempting to exegete every verse or to parse every word of Luke 15, I will cite the words of 15:2, "this man receives sinners" as being the key to all three parables. Miss the key and the parables will remain locked. Not one of the three parables is talking about "multiple salvations" -- or however one chooses to put it. --Hank |
