Subject: "ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED"!!! |
Bible Note: Where does the Prodigal Son parable state that the son was "alive, then dead, then alive"? Even assuming that the person referred to was already saved, why would his departure have to symbolize spiritual death? Also, we have to be careful not to turn a parable (where there is one or two significant points that are being made) with an allegory (where everything in the story represents something else). In this parable, the son STARTS OUT as a son, which would more likely indicate that his departure symbolizes his state of being fallen rather than having received Christ and then rejected Christ and then recived Christ again. --Joe! |
