1 | "ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED"!!! | Matt 22:37 | roviear | 43208
To everyone: I've since learned that my second to last sentence is 100 per cent WRONG. You will not go to Hell once you become a believer, no matter the sin in your life. The motivation to stay the Christian course is not to ensure you get into heaven but because you love the Lord and want to please Him. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
2 | "ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED"!!! | Matt 22:37 | FTimA | 64132
Do you not think that Ananias and Sapphira could have been amongst the 3000 souls saved on Pentecost in Acts 1 and 2? Acts 4:32 says, "Now the multitude of those who believed wer of one heart and one soul..." The story of Ananias and Sapphira tells us they were among the believers here and I feel certain they were Christians. God took their lives in an instant. How can you say that a person cannot go to hell, believer or not, if there is sin in their lives? After we are saved we still sin. But, "If we confess our sins, He (God) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness..." (1 Jn 1:9) This epistle was written to Christians was it not?

Dear FTimA, I appreciate your response and would like to repost some clarification. "I concur that Acts 4:32 details the sharing among the believers, leading into Chap. 5 which brings forth the fate of Ananias and Sapphira. However, to directly infer they were "believers" is left unknown. Scripture does not give us a definitive answer. We could assume, but..." Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |

4 | "ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED"!!! | Matt 22:37 | FTimA | 64162
Please read your bible. Start at Acts 4:32 and read through to 5:11. Ananias and Sapphira definitely were included in the "multitude of those who believed". Acts 2:41 says that "those who gladly received his(Peter's) word were baptized" and in vs 44 "Now all who believed were together..." and then chapter 4:32. Scripture, in this case, is definitive.
