1 | "ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED"!!! | Matt 22:37 | jlpangilinan | 30263
Jesusman, Some other point. I will address same question to you. Are saying that God is not powerful enough when Adam and Eve fall into the temtation of satan? Or are going to say that when God created them they are not recognized as save. They are just until falling in the temtation. Or you will say the are created to commit sin. Is that the plan of God creating man to sin against him? They are creation of Almighty God, direct creation, why did they fall? Are you saying also that God is not powerful that is why Adam and Eve Fall. God is powerful but human is weak. God bless, Johnny |

Johhny, Salvation means one thing doesnt it? Adam and Eve were not saved beings when they were created. (like you said) for sake of discussion let me elaborate a lil bit.. But WE..as Christ(ians) are saved ...from what our 1st Mother and Father fell from...Grace. Hence, the need to be saved. Saved from what? Eternal Damnation... So after the fall, Adam and Eve needing saving. How did they get it? They got it the same time we did. When JESUS died for all on that cross and rose from the dead. As for eternal security issues...my question for you and the rest... Can we OUTSIN ....GRACE?? NO we cannot. But that doesnt mean we should try to. What is the Holy Spirit for? Being our comforter as well as helping us to understand HIM in HIS word. Who is the 'author' and 'finisher' of our faith? Faith in, on, with, for??? There is so much in store for those who 'diligently seek' Him in His word. Which is what HIS word is for ...being SOUGHT. How else do we 'rightly divide'? Johnny, this post is NOT directed JUST to you... but for all of US. We so NEEEED to be in HIS word and study His word. Psalm 119 has so much in store for those who study in it. Proverbs 15:28a "The righteous study how to answer..." OH SO MUCH is printed for us in books, periodicals, newspapers, pamphlets, sermons from differint pulpits, the radio, TV on info about our LORD. Yet, MOST only use those as their points of reference for their arguements about most anything they think they know. They havent read the WORD...studied it to be approved...or reasoned from it. NOTHING in this world is as important as knowing God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit. The Father wrote a book for all of us to read from to get to know HIM. Psalm 138:2b says it best for all of us to understand, "...I hold my Word above my Name." In this Forum, we all should be prayerfully seeking HIM and what HE wants us to understand. We ALL should be citing Scripture to substantiate any claims we have to knowing something or presumably knowing. NOT THAT I HAVE ATTAINED...never...that is not until I am face to face with my LORD JESUS. And why I am saying all this?? ehehehehehehee sorry for the lengthy personal dissertation.... *SHALOM* D |

Did you mean that even Adam and Eve not fall to temtation of Satan they considered go to hell? What do you mean of they are not save? I said they are consider save if they are not fall to satan temptation. They were going to stay there forever and ever in paradise. It was the plan of God to them. If they did not fall what sin they did anyway? Did you main also that they are not created as perfect? Did you mean God created such things that not perfect? What kind of God is that? God bless, Johnny |

4 | "ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED"!!! | Matt 22:37 | Norrie | 30407
I just happened to get this today and since it is the topic... CHRISTIANS AND THE ASSURANCE OF SALVATION Can Christians lose their salvation? Now that's an important question. Can I be sure that I'm really saved? Most Christians have probably had moments of doubt about their salvation. After all, we've all entertained thoughts and have committed acts that we knew were displeasing to God. We've all experienced that sense of remorse and sometimes questioned the reality of our salvation afterwards. Backsliding can no doubt cause such feelings to arise, and should hopefully move us to repentance (1 John 1:9). However, when it comes to the issue of eternal security, the Bible makes it absolutely clear that those who have been saved will never be lost. Jesus emphatically pointed this out in the Gospel of John when, in reference to believers, He said, "I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand..." (John 10:28). In this passage, Christ explicitly declared that no one who has received eternal life will ever lose it. Furthermore, in such passages as 2 Corinthians 1:22, and Ephesians 1:13, the apostle Paul indicated that the Holy Spirit acts as the very seal of God's ownership of the believer; He serves as the guarantee of our inheritance to come - namely, eternal life (John 5:24; 1 John 5:13). In describing our inheritance the apostle Peter used some very powerful words - words like "imperishable," "undefiled," and "unfading" (1 Pet. 1:5). With these words He underscored the everlasting assurance believers have with respect to God's gift of salvation. Now I know what you're asking: "What about the Christians who have completely abandoned their faith?" Well, judging by what we're told in Scripture we can only conclude that they were never saved from the start. You see, while "once saved, always saved" is true from God's perspective, man only looks at the outward appearance and thus cannot always accurately assess who is really saved in the first place. The question therefore is not whether someone lost their salvation, but whether they had ever had it at all. As Romans chapter eight says, "there is nothing that can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord" (v. 38-29). He is the very source of our salvation. And remember, eternal life that comes to the believer through faith in Christ is not life for two weeks, two months, or even two years; eternal life is everlasting life. It begins at the moment of conversion and stretches on through the eons of time. CRI, P.O. Box 7000, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA 92688 Phone (949) 858-6100 and Fax (949) 858-6111 |

Since we are saved for eternity to His Love. I agree with your post indeed. I am a once saved believer. But, when it comes to the verses used like Rom 8, "there is nothing that can seperate us from the love of God.." John 3:16 says the same thing doesnt it? "For God so loved the world..." Since we know God loved the world and he let His son die for our sins, this lets us know OF His love for us. Now my question: Is this "love of God" that we can never be seperated from be - the salvation we never lose? Rom 8:1 lets us know what the whole chapter is about. "There is therfore no condemnation for THOSE who ARE in Christ Jesus, who NO NOT WALK ACCORDING TO THE FLESH, but according to the Spirit." These tells me clearly the same thing I believe you asked in the beginning of this post. Are we really saved?? *SHALOM* D |
