NASB | 1 John 2:2 and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 John 2:2 And He [that same Jesus] is the propitiation for our sins [the atoning sacrifice that holds back the wrath of God that would otherwise be directed at us because of our sinful nature--our worldliness, our lifestyle]; and not for ours alone, but also for [the sins of all believers throughout] the whole world. |
Subject: How do we preach the Gospel? |
Bible Note: George I agree with everything you said but I willl say in many cases we are spiritually fat. Unfortunately like a basket of apples if they never get used start to rot. In many cases we have people that can quote from one end of the Bible to the other and yet never do one thing Jesus commanded us to. Then there are some that never read the Bible depending on their Pastor or TV preacher to do that for them. But again they rarely use the knowledge. Yes Jesus did say such would be the state of things. Be blessed and Be a blessing EdB |
