NASB | 1 John 2:2 and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 John 2:2 And He [that same Jesus] is the propitiation for our sins [the atoning sacrifice that holds back the wrath of God that would otherwise be directed at us because of our sinful nature--our worldliness, our lifestyle]; and not for ours alone, but also for [the sins of all believers throughout] the whole world. |
Subject: How do we preach the Gospel? |
Bible Note: George Believe me it is not discouragement you sense but frustration. Chrsitians keep reading the bible but doing what they justify. Their idea is sharing the gospel is telling someone they need to go to chruch. there idea of a good sermon is one that entertained not changed their lives. Their idea of doing something for Christ is dropping a few buck in the offering plate. Sharing the gospel is giving yourself to others, living a life holy and pure before the world, and sharing Christ's love with those around you. EdB |
