NASB | 1 John 2:2 and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 John 2:2 And He [that same Jesus] is the propitiation for our sins [the atoning sacrifice that holds back the wrath of God that would otherwise be directed at us because of our sinful nature--our worldliness, our lifestyle]; and not for ours alone, but also for [the sins of all believers throughout] the whole world. |
Subject: How do we preach the Gospel? |
Bible Note: Jehonadab I know the Bible is the Word of God, but I'm here to tell you most non believers will not buy your arguments. Their come back is, and happens to be supported by so called "experts", that the Bible was written after the facts, the archaeologist were merely influenced by the Bible or faulty historical record in their deciphering the meaning of certain finds. On Sundays in the afternoon on Moody Christian Radio they have Ravi Zackarias who is an Christian Apologist. You need to listen to him to get an idea of what apologists are facing when they contend for the Word of God with people that say the Bible is not the Word of God. Your arguments are shot down in the opening rounds. EdB |
