Bible Note: Greetings Coop1! The word 'unknown' isn't in the text of 1 Cor. 14:2. That is one of the 'added' words intended to bring out the meaning better! :-) But, I think your point is valid. Look at the last part of the verse. Paul says, "....Indeed, no one understands him; he utters mysteries with his spirit."
