Bible Note: For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds;) casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of christ; and having a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. Our "job" is too cast down those things that exalt themselves against God...including the spirits that proclaim a different god, and the spirits that proclaim the right to pridefully judge and condemn men under the pretense of being 'justified'. Do we just forgive drunk drivers you ask? Yes...we must forgive to be forgiven. Does that mean they escape punishment here and in the next life? No I still feel as though you are dismissing the power of the prayer of the righteous. Saying things like, "we should do more than 'just' pray." We must watch what we do, and follow God closely so as not to give those spirits who would blame the ministry, the edge to do so...If we hate or give way to killing for justice sake or any reason, we have an accuser standing ready to reveal these imperfections and work them to his benefit, discrediting the gospel... Give no offense in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed: But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distress, In stripes, in punishments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings; By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned, By truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteouness on the right hand and the left, By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true; As unknown and yet well known; as dying, and, behold we live; as chastened, and not killed; As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things. 2Corinthians 6:3-10 Please do not disregard the power behind a person who is obeying the word of God...through which the Holy Spirit is working. From such. "just a prayer"...is a very mighty weapon! God has the might to wipe out entire nations because of a single prayer from a single man of God! This is the consequence of no small weapon! |
