Subject: How do we respond to war as Christians? |
Bible Note: Hi Tim, First let me apologize for the delay in my response, I was away for the holiday. You may or may not be right about "just and unjust wars". Even so, is the war that we are presently fighting truly a just war? Are not the "freedoms" that we are now fighting for...somehow perverse? We in America have strayed so far from our humbled, Christian beginnings. We have removed God from everything. We have taken Him out of our government, our homes, our schools and our lives. The freedom that we are now fighting for includes the freedom to abort unwanted babies, the freedom to marry same sex couples, the freedom to worship others gods...to only mention a few. I wonder...are these just reasons to fight? However, if this was truly a war for God, against false religions...I would back it 100 percent. If our jet fighters and massive weaponry were called out to defend a Godly nation...then that, to me, would be a "just" war. As it stands now though, I think it is as simple as man against man, evil against evil. coop1 |
