Subject: What is God's teachings on military war? |
Bible Note: Dear sweet Radioman... Are you looking for recognition for having contributed to war? Forgive me my good man, but I worship God and not heros of war. You'll just have to take a back seat with this believer. Because to me, the real hero's are those who have the courage to "not" fight a violent fight...to trust in God for protection and the strength to with hold the human urge to kill because God said too. Like Jesus...now there is a hero! :-) Dear, this is a BIBLE Forum...okay? Look again, you will find biblical back up where necessary. If there is anything you see questionable, I would be happy to give you the scripture. I do however, see a lack of biblical background on your response. And you said...and I quote, "In all honesty and fairness, I can understand your concern for your son's safety. What parent wouldn't understand this? If I had a son in the military, I wouldn't want to see him in danger either. But, for starters, that's what the Army is all about. The Army doesn't exist so one can be all that he can be. It doesn't exist as a social experiment or to provide educational opportunities. Anyone who joins the Army should know that the purpose of the Army is to break things and kill people." Spoken like a true expert, of which...I guess you could be considered being that you have actually taken part in war with bombs and guns and killings and all. OK...you may have single handedly made my point here. Again, you said,"..the army is to break things and kill people"...hmmmm. Do you think that sounds like something a Christian should take part in? Does that sound to you like something God or Jesus would have taken part in? Think about it now...real hard...I know you know the answer... At the slight risk that I may be repeating myself here, :-), let me say one more time...in my OPINION, which has not yet been biblically proven wrong...okay?..."war is evil, harmful, unecassay, unbiblical under grace, and a sin." Basically Radioman...I don't believe in it. K? coop1 |
