Subject: How do we open eyes to truth? |
Bible Note: But are we not causing the Afganastan people to go against the authority that was set into place? The same principle must apply to all countries or is it exclusive to America? Either that or we are mis-interperting the text? What about Sadum, is he 'just' to apply dictatorship to Iraq and drop chemical weapons on those of his own country, who disagree?...he must be if the way you interpert those scriptures are correct. They must do as he says since he was given authority? Yes? Be it evil or good, they must abide by the authorities in their land...that is what you are telling me. Why do we see Christians being jailed in all parts of the world? They are going against the governing laws to do what God has commanded!? Correct? Is it not proper then to do the same in America? Who judged Americans innocent? How many "innocent" (spoken in the same context) people has the US killed in all the wars over the coarse of history? How many innocent people died in the bombing of Hiroshima alone? Why is it that we Americans seem to be the only ones ever 'justified' for all the killings? Oh...I forgot...God has elected us the one people to be able to commit murder for what we 'think' is a good or just reason. No? To hear you and many others talk...that would sound true if I did not know better. The bottom line is..we are not to kill period. With or without a given "reason". We are not somehow exhaulted above the word of God and justified because we think we are or because we somehow appear more intellegent or sophisticated than some. America struck back out of revenge. Operation True Justice (or, I am going to get you back for this), was the first name given to the mission to anihlate these men. And after politically thinking that over...all of the sudden, we were in a war against all terrorism under a new heading of Operation Enduring Freedom. Do you really believe that we are going to rid the world of "the evil doers' as our President puts it...or of terrorism (which is all born of and driven by satan) with simply man made weapons? Do you not see the incompetence in that? Personally, I believe it is dangerously prideful for America to think we have such power...and secondly, even more dangerous for us to stand before God, killing innocent people, as though we are without sin and somehow justified for such action. Childern are dying during these bombings. Afghanastan children...innocents'. What is the difference between their innocence and ours? Killing is not just in any way for any reason. coop1 |
