Subject: How do we open eyes to truth? |
Bible Note: I regret that we do not agree. I will serioulsy consider you opinion that my veiws are emotional...but if I were to let in to my fleshly desires, I would mostly agree with this war. I was always a kick-butt kind of person...I just do not believe this a a war we are called by God to fight. The definition of practical is; concerned with the application of knowledge to useful ends; rather than with theory. Now the definition of theory is; a mental veiwing; a speculative idea or plan as to how something might work. In reality, this is where we live at present time. Faith is the beleif in things not seen...or a theory in a certain regard...that what God says He will do, He will do. And no matter how you look at it, if we do what God says, there are promises and protections that come with that...in theory that is. We are to rely on God's understanding, not our own. if God says, paint our house bright orange...you know as a Christian that is what we should do. Even though it makes no sense to our PRACTICAL man...we should do it to gain the blessings of listening to God. Stepping out of the boat was not practical and yet it was safe because Jesus commanded it. We just have to let go and trust God...and i still say that if we abide in His word...(of which I can find no place that commands me to kill another person for any reason), I will be safe and any time that I am not...God must have a real good reason for letting me be unsafe. coop1 |
