1 | How do we open eyes to truth? | Deut 7:2 | jlpangilinan | 24291
Charis, I know common sense, I did not mention either that you just watch when somebody murdered your children. But Jesus Christ said flee to mountains. I am expecting that when we have a discussion we should put our reason base on biblical truth. If we are really a Christian what would we do? 1Co 5:10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. We should go out of the world because we are not in this world. I know you know what it means. What this passages is all about if you are a Christian and still you within you. Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Ga 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. If we are really a Christian we should follow the example of paul, He is not the one deciding for him but it was Christ.Paul was put in prison and beheaded, more of the desciples was murdered, are they commanded to fight? or use thier common sense to depend thier family?: He was led out of the city, with a crowd of the lowest rabble at his heels. The fatal spot was reached; he knelt beside the block; the headsman's axe gleamed in the sun and fell; and the head of the apostle of the world rolled down in the dust" (probably A.D. 66), four years before the fall of Jerusalem. Are they use common sense my friend? or they just allow thier prosecutors to prosecute or kill them? Too many claiming that they are a Christian but cannot follow the example of a true Christian (including me) Mt 16:25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. If we cannot follow the example of true Christians we should submit that we are just Christian by mouth and not by heart, just because of money: Mic 3:11 The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us? none evil can come upon us. We have too many of that right now, very good to preach and teach, but cannot do what he was talking. God bless, Johnny |

2 | How do we open eyes to truth? | Deut 7:2 | Morant61 | 24330
Greetings Johnny! I can partially agree with you. If we are being persecuted because of our faith, then I think Scripture supports not defending ourselves. However, it someone simply walks into my house because they want to harm my family (not because of our faith), they probably aren't going to walk back out! Just because we are Christian's doesn't mean that we have to allow people to harm our families or our nation. I agree with what Charis said though! I can respect your stand, but to imply that it is the only Biblical one is a strech, especially since there is no verse which forbids us to fight! Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

3 | How do we open eyes to truth? | Deut 7:2 | jlpangilinan | 24499
Dear Tim, I just gave the example of a true Christian which is in the bible, If our nation is a true Nation of God it is God will protect us like what He was doing if Israel obey him: Ex 15:4 Pharaoh's chariots and his host hath he cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea. Ex 15:5 The depths have covered them: they sank into the bottom as a stone. Ex 15:6 Thy right hand, O LORD, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O LORD, hath dashed in pieces the enemy. I dont agree with you that there is no verse to forbid us to fight: I dont know if how many times did you read the whole book of the bible. Jas 4:2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ex 20:13 Thou shalt not kill. Mt 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; Mt 5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. "Do good them hate you," if fighting back is doing good for you, it is your choice and not of the bible teaching. Or do you bless them by fighting them or killing them, because it was mentioned "blessed them that curse you". It is not my word my friend, it is from the scriptures, if we ignore them do you think scriptures made for what? a comics a decorations? Again I am talking here of a true Christian, not in title nor by mouth but truly Christian in Heart, Because to many people call themselves a Christian for the sake of MONEY: Mic 3:11 The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us? none evil can come upon us. God bless, Johnny |
