Bible Note: Greetings John! You said all of that, but did not address even one verse that I cited! :-( Where's the beef? I have cited it over and over again, but you constantly tell me that the words of Scripture don't actually mean what they say. Allow me to narrow the long list of Scriptures down to simply one. You claim that Eph. 2:1-12 is an indication that believer must be regenerated before they can believe, even though none of these verses actually say that anywhere. However, read what John 20:31 actually says, John 20:31 - "But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name." So, when does this new life come - before or after faith? According to this verse, it comes after believing. I love you my brother, but I am done with this debate. Every claim I have made, I have provided Scripture which explictly says what I said. Yet, each time, I am told that it 'can't' really mean what it says. How does one end a debate like that? I really don't see any point in continuing. It doesn't matter what the Scriptures I show you actually say, if they disagree with the theological assumptions you have adopted, they will be ignored. And now, it has even reached the point where Paul's response to 'what must I do to be saved?' isn't even talking about salvation. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
