Subject: claiming things in your life |
Bible Note: Janae You said, "I do not see how claiming physical healing was provided for at the Cross is adding to scripture. Please explain." Can you show me anywhere in the scripture that says physical healing for this generation is provided in the cross? The healing of the cross is the promise of no more death no more tears of Rev 21:4. Again healing is described as a gift in I Cor 12:9. James said if there is any sick among you, you should call for the elders and they should anoint you and prayer of faith will restore you. James 5:13. Notice it doesn't say claim your healing. Now I'm not minimizing faith or the need for faith, nor am I minimizing a positive attitude or the need for it. Nor am I minimizing the work of the cross or our potential to receive healing. I'm simply stating that it is a fact that Is 53:5 is talking about spiritual healing, that God does heal but that there is no guarantee that if we trust in Christ we will receive both physical healing in this present age and salvation. If physical healing for generation was promised in the atonement then every one that came to Christ would receive healing. There is no scripture that says we receive part of what is provided for in the atonement. We get it all. And guaranteed physical healing for this generation isn’t part of the all. Now before you respond any further, provide scripture that clearly states physical healing is provided for in the atonement. EdB |
