Subject: claiming things in your life |
Bible Note: I disagree. You are not giving God credit for divine healing, which can be claimed through this scripture. Also, we are to decree, declare and proclaim God's Word. God's Word. Not just any words or anything we might desire. God's promises. God's Word is true, and everything else is subject to change by that Word. I live it every day. I want everything God has for me. I take offense that you think I belong to the false teaching of "name it and claim it." Far from it. I claim the promises God has for me (and everyone who believes) in His Word--one of which is divine healing. Pardon the personal illustration, but I speak from experience. The doctor told me I had arthritis and last year, I had a couple of bad spells where I could not even walk. However, a couple of months ago I got prayed for and God healed me. He took away that arthritis, and all the pain that went with it. I was in terrible pain prior to being prayed for, and walked with a pronounced limp--but ever since that prayer, I have had pain just one time, and that was Satan trying to make me claim that arthritis back into my life. But, I didn't listen to him. I continued to claim my healing and to this day, I have been pain free and I walk without a limp now. I would be interested to know the denomination to which you belong. Have you seen the dead raised to life? My friend is a missionary and she has seen it. Also, a pastor friend of mine has seen it. I have not seen it, but I believe it. How about you? Do you belive the physically dead can be raised to life? |
