Subject: claiming things in your life |
Bible Note: Matt 11:23- "Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him.- I've seen this verse referred to as "say-it faith." Faith that is in our hearts, of course, but that can be exercised by actually saying it out loud. I know that sometimes I have to do this in order to establish my full belief of ALL things God has said and promised according to Scripture. This is the closest thing in the Bible that I have seen that relates to "name it and claim it," though this has a lot more to do with faith, more so than directly naming something and claiming it. Finally, it seems to stand on the notion of saying something outloud that God has "previously or already" showed us in Himself, through His Word. Hope this helped a little! hidden in Christ, Lissa |
