Subject: claiming things in your life |
Bible Note: Dear Janae - The penitent sinner who by God's grace comes to Christ in faith is forgiven of his sins and reborn in Christ Jesus. His is a spiritual cleansing, not a physical healing. That is what Isaiah is speaking of. See Isaiah 53:3-11. And see also Philippians 2:8. ..... The ideas expressed in your question actually are knock-offs of the "Name it and claim it" mantra that the Word Faithers are so enamored by. This is very bad and dangerous theology having two fatal flaws. First, it presumes to empower man to speak things into existence -- the "name it" aspect of this false teaching. No one in heaven and earth can do that except Almighty God. See Genesis 1. How many times does it say, "and God said...and there was..."? ...... And, second, it brazenly presumes that man has the power over God to force God to perform according to man's wishes. This is the "claim it" portion of the mantra. Both concepts are totally foreign to the teachings of the word of God. --Hank |
