Bible Note: Dear Hank, First of all, let me say how sorry I am that you and your wife lost your precious son. I know that must be the most painful experience anyone can have. But, your beloved son is with Jesus now, waiting for his parents and loved ones to be with him. That is the glorious blessed hope we have in Christ Jesus. ALL PRAISE AND GLORY BE UNTO GOD!!! I pray you will see that I am coming to you in love. When I said you were not giving God credit for divine healing, I was referring to the Scripture of Isaiah 53:5, about which you said it was only talking about spiritual healing there. That is where I disagree, for I believe Isaiah 53:5 is also talking about physical healing. This healing refers to salvation with all its benefits, spiritual and physical. Sickness and disease are the result of the fall and Satan's activity in the world. "For this purpose the Son of God was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil" (I John 3:8). Christ gave gifts of healing to His church (I Cor. 12:9) and commanded His followers to heal the sick as part of their proclamation of the kingdom of God (Luke 9:1-2, 6; 10:1, 8-9, 19). Well, I am going to end now. I pray you have a blessed day. Love in Christ Jesus, Janae |
