AMPLIFIED 2015 | Isaiah 53:5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was crushed for our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing]; The punishment [required] for our well-being fell on Him, And by His stripes (wounds) we are healed. |

Bible Note: Hank, My view is that Jesus' atoning death was complete and adequate for redeeming the whole person--spirit, soul, and body. As sin and sickness have become the twin giants designed by Satan to destroy us, so forgiveness and healing are joined as twin blessings designed by God to redeem us and make us whole (Ps. 103:3; Jas. 5:14-16). The believer should press on in humility and faith to possess the full provision of Christ's atonement, including the healing of the body. I would be grateful to know which statements you feel are incongruous and conflicting statements that I have posted regarding the relationship between spiritual healing and physical healing. Thank you. Janae. |
