1 | claiming things in your life | Is 53:5 | SamtheShocker | 136538
I am not trying to impress you I am just saying God has been more than Good to me and if he did it for me he can do it for you. I just trying to encourage whoever reads on this website that age doesn't matter and that I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. Jesus came that we may have life and have it more abundantly . So don't get mad at me because I was did what God ask me to do and in return he gave me the desires of my heart. My first car cost 200 dollars and was a piece a junk everytime I put gas in it the car broke down miles later. (16) When I drove that 1980 ford tempo in 1997 I was grateful and thankful that God had allowed me to have a car. I appreciated it. So now in 2004 I am driving a 40,000 Lexus (at age 21) and you don't want me to tell nobody. Malachi 3:10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. Last year my tithes and offering and gifts were over six thousand dollars to my church. I do believe I am blessed to be a blessing and do minister to strangers and people i know. I do tell them how good God has been to me and what the lord has brought me through. How I was going to bust hell wide open but christ had mercy on me and saved my soul. Its not a sin to have nice things in life its not a sin to have money in the bank. Its not a sin not to live check to check. No one put a gun to my head and said pay tithe. No one put a gun to my head and said wake up early and go to sunday school no one put a gun to my head and said join the usher board no one put a gun to my head and said be an assistant teacher for the young mens bible study no one put a gun to my head and say pray for your enemies no one put a gun to my head and said those new timberland s you just bought and give it young man over there no one made me give the a brand new pair of nikes I bought and I didn't even have a chance to wear them yet and gave it away. Nobody made me buy my brother a pair of Jordans when I bought mine. Whether you believe it or not I am blessed beyond your imagination more you can imagine or thinketh.

Scripture ... Malachi 3:10 context 3:1-18 ... So let us see is verse 10 applies to you verse 4 "Judah and Jerusalem" verse 6 "O sons of Jacob" verse 8 "Will a man rob God? Yet you are robbing Me! But you say, 'How have we robbed You?' In tithes and offerings. Do you meet all these? I doubt it. Therefore, DO NOT claim Malachi 3:10 as fitting you. |

3 | Does Malachi 3:10 apply to you? | Is 53:5 | Aristarchus | 136594
If you follow that line of thinking then there isn't much in the Bible that we can claim. Whether it be a promise or a command. To whom were the Ten Commandments addressed? Who was commanded to "go into all the world, preaching the gospel"? As you can see, this can become a very slippery slope. Perhaps we should look at the principles that God set forth. Principles such as sacrifice for atonement (animals in the OT, Christ in the NT), giving of our firstfruits, etc. If God's principles hold true in these areas they also hold true in the area of blessings. |

What you did with Malachi 3:10 is to take it out of context. Whether the Ten Commandments, Great Commission, atonement, giving of our firstfruits, or anythin else ... always look at the context. Looking at one verse out of context is pretext. Searcher |
