ED I'd have to disagree with your interpretation Of "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me". Christ must have went went thru terrible emotional(so to speak) suffering... and I think his words reflects that. The actual physical suffering of a cross has been replicated by man. There had to be much more to his suffering. I think his Words indicate ultimate suffering. We have to be very careful not to dilute their raw power. God does not forsake us, but we have to deal with his distance... and that IS suffering. WAK |

WAK I agree his suffering was tremendous! I agree you or I would probably say just what Jesus did. However I disagree that Jesus being God and being man ever questioned God. Again I standon the fact he was reciting Psalms 22 which is a vivid description of the event taking place before the very eyes of the Jews. He was calling their attention to the fact the prophets had foretold of this event in exact detail and surely when faced with that evidence they would see their error repent and receive salvation.
